Every January 1st most people declare this year they will be different, they will do something different, they will say something different; essentially they are Resolved to a grandiose endeavor. By January 15th all the glitz and glamour of the New Year has passed and the Resolution has instead become a distant memory. We have made no change. There are several theories as to why we are unable to change, why we are not motivated, and why we can so easily slip back into our old ways.
NO ACCOUNTABILITY!!!!
With that said, the women of The Courts of Esther want to support you!!!! We have declared 2011 the year of change and the change is going to start with each one of us. We are going to support each other as we begin to better understand how to love ourselves and to love those around us.

I am very excited about this topic of study, and eagerly anticipating a mighty move of God in all our lives!!
ReplyDeleteThis week’s inspirational message: Romans: 1
ReplyDeletePlease read the chapter and let us spend this week using text, facebook and tweets to discuss this chapter of the Bible and the verse(s) that we enjoyed.
I will comment on verses 18-19. In the previous verses we are learning about the grace or unmerited favor of God. However, Paul reminds us that God revels his heavenly thoughts concerning how he feels about the ungodly and the judgment they will face. On the outset it looks like God is angry God but verse 19 reveals the reason for his anger is how the ungodly hinder the truth and make the move of God inoperative. The goodness of God wages war against wickedness because they fight to keep us from receiving the plan of ‘god for our lives. This to me is what love looks like, that Jesus would die, forgive our sins, and appoint us as ambassadors to share the good news so that the work of God will change lives.
Please post your thoughts and examples of what this chapter means to you so that you can bless others.
Love you,
Pastor Sherry

OMANS 1:17
ReplyDeleteFor in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last,[e] just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”[f]
This verse speaks volumes to me as God is teaching me to live by faith at this very moment. When we learn to walk by faith and not by site we learn to not live by our feelings and emotions. That is very hard to do as daily we are tested by them. Feelings and emotions want to take control and this verse tell me that it is so written that I live by faith.
Lord help me to be faithful in troubled times and well as good times.
Love you my sisters

Romans 1:6 And you are included among those Gentiles who have been called to belong to Jesus Christ. When I read this verse it really Blessed me because I remember when I felt like I was spued out of Gods mouth and to read Romans 1 & it says the Faith that we have for Jesus Christ is being talked about all around the world!! To read that I am loved by God and I am called to be his own holy people. To know that I now decided to not be lukewarm (Rev3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.) and because of that, God has not spued me out of his mouth & has not given me over to a reprobate mind. Lord God I Thank You!! Love You Much My Dear Sisters, Sister Nickey
